Adaptive study plans
The plan rewrites itself after every session. Miss three questions on quadratics and quadratics show up more often tomorrow.
Partnership
Educ8tors
Acely builds AI test prep for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT. We partnered with them so the students we tutor get the same preparation families normally pay private tutors thousands of dollars for.

Who they are
Acely was founded in 2017 and joined Y Combinator's Winter 2018 batch. The product is an AI native prep platform for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT. Rather than handing a student a fixed syllabus, it watches how they actually answer questions, works out where they are losing points, and rebuilds the next set of practice around those gaps.
Most students use it in 20 minute sessions. That was a deliberate design choice. Teenagers are already juggling homework, sports, and jobs, and a platform that demands two hour blocks gets abandoned by week three.
The company has grown into one of the stronger AI businesses in education. Y Combinator lists it at roughly $10 million in annual recurring revenue with about ten people on the core team, and LinkedIn puts total headcount in the 11 to 50 range as it keeps hiring.
College admissions should not be decided by whether a family can afford a private tutor.
What students get
This is the part that matters to an Educ8tors student sitting down on a Tuesday night with a test in six weeks.
The plan rewrites itself after every session. Miss three questions on quadratics and quadratics show up more often tomorrow.
Students can ask why an answer was wrong and get the reasoning walked through, at whatever hour they are studying.
Short, focused blocks that fit between practice and dinner. Consistency beats marathon cramming for score growth.
A running estimate of where a student would land today, so test day is not the first time they find out.
Section by section breakdowns that our tutors can look at before a session instead of guessing what to cover.
Acely backs its subscription plans with a guarantee on score improvement, which is rare in test prep.
The numbers

Why we partnered
Educ8tors was built on a straightforward idea: a student's zip code should not decide the quality of teaching they get. We match underserved students with volunteer tutors and charge nothing for it.
The gap we kept running into was materials. A tutor can be excellent and still be working from a photocopied practice test from 2019. Meanwhile students at well funded schools are running full digital simulations and getting adaptive question sets between sessions.
Acely closes that gap. Our tutors bring the human part, the accountability and the explanations that land because someone knows the student. Acely handles the volume of practice, the diagnostics, and the drilling in between. The two fit together better than either does alone.
